The Mazda brand was established in 1920 and has a rich history of being bold, daring and original. Mazda's founder, Jujiro Matsuda, was renowned for his pioneering spirit - overcoming great challenges to transform Mazda from a cork manufacturer to a global car brand. Over time, that heritage has shaped the definition of Mazda. From the development of the Mazda rotary engine to the insightful design of the four seater RX-8 sports car, Mazda has demonstrated the ability to take risks and find innovative solutions. Mazda has shown a passion to produce sporty cars that are truly fun to drive. Today, the same philosophy lives on - through design excellence, advanced engineering and manufacturing capability.
