The Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW Inc was established to foster regular activities for its members, all of whom have one thing in common – the enjoyment of owning and driving the Mazda MX-5.
The MX-5 burst onto the scene in 1989 and is now acknowledged in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest series production sports car in motoring history. The club was formed in June 1990 and current membership is well over 500.
This is a club for everyone, our members are of all ages and from all walks of life - we are like minded people who love our MX-5 cars. The NSW Club has Chapters in Sydney, Canberra and the Hunter.
One of the main benefits of membership is the sharing of knowledge between members. You can find out a lot about your car just by attending the Club’s technical nights and social events. We have a lot of members who are familiar with all aspects of the Mazda MX-5, classic or new, and they can help you make the most of your car.
Above all else, membership is about sharing your enthusiasm for the Mazda MX-5 with other aficionados of the marque. It’s well worth joining in – we’re good company and when we get together, we have fun!
Our members enjoy diverse types of activities. We cater for all tastes. Our Club activities combine a variety of motorsport events with social drives, social (inexpensive) dining, driver training, picnics and weekends away with people who enjoy driving their cars. Technical information nights are also arranged to help you meet new members and perhaps understand your car a little bit better.
At present we have about 220 "cars" as members whose proud owners range in age from early 20's to late 70's and whose interests vary greatly covering social, technical, and sporting! Consequently, there are many people to whom you will immediately relate.
The Mazda MX-5 Club of South Australia aims to provide a relaxed and enjoyable environment for like minded Mazda MX-5 drivers whether their preference is motor sport or purely social.
All members have one thing in common - the enjoyment of owning and driving the Mazda MX-5. The Club organises regular social and sporting events throughout the year, which are enjoyed by both male and female members alike.
Social activities include observation rallies, picnics, day and evening drives (usually to a dining venue), ten-pin bowling nights, mid-year and Christmas dinners, technical days and weekends away.
We have members of all ages and from all walks of life. Mazda Australia is a major sponsor of our activities. This is a club for everyone and we would welcome your involvement and contribution. To encourage individual participation, we have a Member of the Year award.
