A Sales Contract, or purchase negotiation, is a legally binding document between a customer and an authorised Mazda dealership. Both parties are required to abide by the terms and conditions of the contract. If further assistance is required, the dealership's Sales Manager or Dealer Principal will be pleased to help. To contact your Mazda dealer please click here.
Mazda Australia, as the distributor, can not become involved with any contractual disputes.
Mazda Australia only offers an Extended Warranty for new passenger car vehicles. The program does not apply to commercial vehicles (such as the BT-50).
The Mazda Extended Warranty can only be purchased at time of new vehicle sale, or when the vehicle is purchased second hand from an authorised Mazda dealer within the existing warranty period. It adds a further twelve months (with unlimited kilometres) to the standard three years with unlimited kilometres warranty term. Terms and conditions during this fourth year are the same for the standard three year period.
Please consult the Warranty Information booklet supplied with your Mazda at time of sale for detailed terms and conditions of the New Vehicle Warranty.
Details may also be found in the Warranty section of our website. For the Mazda Extended Warranty to be valid, the official Mazda receipt must be produced on demand. We recommend permanently affixing it to the Warranty Information booklet.

The ‘Maintenance and Care’ section of your Owner's Manual outlines your vehicle's scheduled maintenance. The prescribed scheduled maintenance identifies the intervals and the minimum level of requirements for each of the individual scheduled services. To ensure the ongoing reliability, safety and performance of your vehicle, it must be serviced to Mazda specifications and standards every six months or 10,000kms, whichever occurs first. Vehicle servicing is the responsibility of the owner and failure to maintain your Mazda in accordance with these requirements may void your New Vehicle Warranty.
By maintaining your vehicle servicing every six months particularly when the 10,000 kilometre distance has not been reached, ensures that any perishable fluids and parts susceptible to deterioration are inspected or replaced will ensure the ongoing reliability, safety and performance of your vehicle. (Please note some earlier model Mazda models had service intervals of every six months / 7,500 kilometres and or three months / 5,000 kilometres).

If you have any questions relating to the cleaning of your vehicle, these should be directed to the dealership itself. Vehicle cleaning is considered the responsibility of the owner, and is not assigned as part of Mazda's servicing Scheduled Maintenance. For tips and advice on maintaining your vehicle's interior and exterior we recommend you refer to your Owner's Manual chapter 'Maintenance and Care', section Owner Maintenance Schedule.
As each Mazda dealership is an individual franchise, some may offer cleaning, washing and/or vacuuming. Mazda does not have a list of dealerships that are offering these services. To be able to provide cleaning services, Dealerships have to be able to address additional factors to ensure environmental factors are considered; from use of water and energy resources to reduction in contimination of surface waters, soil and groundwater. Where water restrictions are in place water reclamation systems are preferred in order to significantly reduce water usage. For these reasons, some Dealerships may not be able to provide cleaning services.
Mazda Australia would recommend that the e-TAG be placed at the top of the windscreen just in front of and below the rear view mirror. The grey shaded area will not affect the e-TAG signal.
Mazda offers Standard or Premium Roadside Assistance for those who wish to purchase it. For more information please visit our Mazda Roadside Assistance webpage or call 1800 807 405 to register today.
For general information about Ethanol (E10), please see the Fuel section of our Mazda Motoring Tips.
For a compatability chart regarding Ethanol and your vehicle, please click here. Please note: if your vehicle is not listed on this chart, it is not considered compatible to use fuel that includes E10.
For information additional information about fuel and its additives please contact your local fuel supplier (ie. Shell or BP, etc.)
As a standard maintenance procedure, all Mazda engines (diesel or petrol) should have a check of their engine oil every 1,000km. For the correct procedure of inspecting your Mazda’s engine’s oil level, please refer to the ‘Maintenance and Care’ section of your Owner’s Manual.
Generally, the engine oil should not need to be replaced until the first Scheduled Service interval at 6 months / 10,000k (whichever occurs first). However during a periodic inspection on a Diesel vehicle, should the oil level be close to, or exceed the X mark on your dip stick, it is important you take your vehicle to a Mazda Dealer for inspection and diagnosis of the situation. It is highly unlikely that this will be encountered; and any manufacturing faults are covered by the New Vehicle Warranty.
As the Mazda Diesel is a high performance, fuel efficient and reliable engine type, there are some differences in maintenance compared with those of a petrol engine. These differences particularly relate to engine oil and are perfectly normal for a diesel particulate filter-equipped vehicle. Diesel engines use oil differently to petrol engines, and regular monitoring ensures it is maintained within the correct operating range. Mazda recommends checking your engine oil every 1,000km or every month, to ensure the high performance and longevity of your Mazda diesel. Again, information is available in the ‘Maintenance and Care’ section of your Owner’s Manual.
