Rear Cross Traffic Alert – one of Mazda’s lauded i-ACTIVSENSE Technologies – has been added to the top of the range CX-9 Grand Touring AWD, while the full Mazda CX-9 range gets new alloy wheels and a selection of updated colours.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) assists the driver when reversing from a parking space. The system sounds a warning and an LED icon appears on both side mirrors when the radar detects oncoming traffic from either side of the reversing car.
Originally offered on All-New Mazda6, the safety addition joins an impressive range of i-ACTIVSENSE technologies currently offered on the Grand Touring AWD grade including; Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Obstruction Warning and High Beam Control.
i-ACTIVSENSE is a suite of advanced technologies designed by Mazda to assist the driver in recognising hazards, avoiding collisions and to help reduce the severity of an accident when it is unavoidable.
Mazda CX-9 will stand out further with updated alloy wheels on all grades. The Luxury and Grand Touring 20-inch alloys come in a stylish new design while the Classic gets a new silver finish to its 18-inch alloys.
In addition, like the recent Mazda2 upgrade, CX-9 is sporting a new range of colours. With six stylish colours to choose from, Jet Black mica and Blue Reflex mica are newly introduced.
The upgrades across the CX-9 range, including metallic and mica paint, come at no extra cost.
