Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV)
Known as Mazda M Hybrid, energy captured whilst braking is used to power electrical systems and assist the engine, for reduced emissions and better fuel economy. Differing from PHEVs and BEVs as the electricity doesn’t power the vehicle’s wheels.
Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)
A vehicle with both an electric motor and petrol engine for extended range and fuel efficiency. The high-voltage battery and electric motor allows for electric only driving.
