FIRST-EVER MAZDA CX-90 STAKES CLAIM AS MOST POWERFUL MAZDA PRODUCTION CAR TO DATE

On February 1, Mazda will unveil the First-Ever Mazda CX-90 at the flagship model’s world premiere, equipped with a highly anticipated inline six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

The responsive and dynamic 3.3-litre inline six e-Skyactiv turbo – which debuts on the First-Ever Mazda CX-60 – has been specifically retuned for its application in the CX-90, and will offer the highest ever power output from a mass production petrol engine developed by Mazda, delivering 254 kW between 5,000 and 6,000rpm and 500 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,500rpm. This equates to an additional 45 kW – or a near 22 per cent uplift – in power compared to the CX-60.  

Providing an engaging driving experience and accompanied by a rewarding exhaust note, the First-Ever Mazda CX-90 also features a 48V mild-hybrid system for efficiency without compromising on performance.

This inline six turbo is developed specifically for the large platform – Mazda’s all-new rear-biased all-wheel drive layout that supports a performance-focused experience.

Additionally, Kinematic Posture Control (KPC), first introduced on the MX-5, is standard on all CX-90 models and will help maintain Mazda’s signature driving dynamics in the three-row crossover SUV.
