Mazda Australia introduces sub-$45,000 CX-60 powered by trustworthy 2.5L Skyactiv-G petrol

Mazda is increasing the appeal and affordability of the CX-60 range with the introduction of the 2.5L Skyactiv-G powertrain, starting from just $44,240 MLP.

The tried-and-tested G25 petrol unit joins the CX-60 range as an available engine choice on generously equipped Pure, Evolve and Touring trim levels.

Delivering 138kW of power and 250Nm of torque to the rear-wheels courtesy of the recently refined Skyactiv-Drive eight-speed automatic transmission, the Mazda CX-60 G25 boasts fuel economy as low as 7.5L/100km combined.

The entry-grade G25 Pure has a starting manufacturer list price (MLP) of just $44,240 rising to $49,240 MLP and $52,240 MLP for the Evolve and Touring respectively.

An enticing introductory offer delivering an exceptional value proposition to consumers will also be available from launch for the CX-60 G25 Pure model, with a driveaway price of only $47,990*.

Model grades are unchanged when compared to the six-cylinder CX-60 counterparts, which offer a host of technology, safety and performance as standard.

The CX-60 colour palette remains plentiful with eight colours for customers to choose from. These include three of Mazda’s high-quality Takuminuri paint finishes: Rhodium White Metallic, Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Grey Metallic. Alternatively, Deep Crystal Blue Mica, Jet Black Mica, Platinum Quartz Metallic, Sonic Silver Metallic, and Zircon Sand Metallic round out the paint palette.

Introduced as a result of customer demand, Mazda Australia is anticipating that the value-focused G25 powertrain will contribute to approximately one third of CX-60 sales annually.

Commenting on the latest addition to the CX-60 lineup, Managing Director of Mazda Australia, Vinesh Bhindi, said: “Mazda Australia has always prioritised providing unrivalled value and choice for our consumers, and the addition of the G25 to the CX-60 range is no exception. A proven powerplant, elegant KODO design and a suite of standard inclusions at an extremely compelling price point fully enhance consumer accessibility”.

The CX-60 G25 is now on sale at Mazda dealerships across Australia, with first customer deliveries taking place from September.
