Cruise control
Cruise control helps maintain a steady speed and reduces driver effort on longer journeys.
- Push the selector handle down once to activate cruise control
- Push it down again to switch to adaptive cruise control
- Use the steering wheel controls to adjust speed and following distance
- Push the selector handle up or press the brake to cancel cruise control
In-Life Vehicle Detection
The Mazda CX-6e includes a life detection system designed to help identify movement inside the vehicle after it has been locked.
If life is detected, the system activates a series of alerts:
- Audible alerts and hazard lights
- Notifications sent to the Mazda CX-6e app
- Automatic climate control activation if required
This system is designed to support safety and awareness.

Intelligent travel planning
The navigation system supports electric driving by helping plan routes based on battery level.
- Set your preferred minimum battery level on arrival
- The system can suggest charging stops when needed
- Route guidance updates automatically based on driving conditions
These features are driver-assist technology only, and should not be used in place of skilled and safe driving practices. It is the driver’s sole responsibility to constantly monitor vehicle surroundings and conditions at all times.
Safety features
Driving pleasure starts with safety. The All-Electric Mazda CX-6e supports you with cutting-edge Driver Assistance Systems (DAS) Intelligent Driver Assist Systems, designed to automatically activate when the need arises. In unforeseen situations, a high-strength steel safety structure and 9 airbags are designed to give your family the comprehensive protection you need for peace of mind.
Lane-Keep Assist System
Particularly useful for long motorway journeys, the Lane-keep Assist System with Steering Support (LAS) keeps you safely in your lane whilst reducing your driving fatigue. When the system detects your vehicle is drifting out if its lane, it provides steering inputs to gently guide you back to the centre for more confident, controlled driving.

Rear Collision Warning
Rear Collision Warning (RCW) system monitors traffic behind your vehicle and gives timely alerts you if there is a risk of collision from the rear. Combined with the Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), which detects vehicles approaching from the side when reversing, you have time to react and prevent potential damage. If collision is imminent, Smart Brake Support (SBS) will automatically apply the brakes.

Smart Brake Support / Autonomous Emergency Braking
When something unexpected impacts your reaction time, the Smart Brake Support (SBS) will automatically intervene. The latest M-pixel camera, millimeter-wave radar, and ultrasonic radar continuously monitor the road to detect potential hazards. If a collision can’t be avoided, SBS automatically applies the brakes to minimise any damage.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert
When reversing, sensors detect vehicles approaching from the side and sound a warning to the driver or apply the brakes if necessary.

Emergency Lane Keeping
Avoid collisions when your vehicle risks leaving its lane with Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK). It works in combination with Lane Keeping Assist System (LAS), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW), to expertly assist you to stay safely on course.

Frequently Asked Questions
The CX-6e includes standard and adaptive cruise control with Intelligent Cruise Assist, Smart Brake Support, an in-life vehicle detection system, and intelligent EV route planning that suggests charging stops based on battery level. All features are designed to support the driver — not replace driver attention.
Push the column selector handle down once to activate standard cruise control. Push it down a second time to switch to adaptive cruise control, which automatically adjusts your speed to maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead. Use the steering wheel controls to set your speed and preferred following distance. To cancel, push the handle up or press the brake pedal.
Smart Brake Support is a collision-mitigation feature that can automatically apply the brakes if the system detects a risk of collision and the driver has not responded in time. The system can be switched off if needed — its status is shown via an indicator light on the instrument cluster.
In-life vehicle detection is a cabin monitoring system that identifies movement inside the vehicle after it has been locked. If movement is detected, the system responds with audible alerts and hazard lights, sends a notification to the Mazda CX-6e app, and can activate climate control to help regulate cabin temperature. The system is designed to support awareness and is not a substitute for checking the vehicle before leaving it.
The CX-6e's navigation system is built specifically for electric driving. You can set a preferred minimum battery level for arrival, and the system will suggest charging stops along your route where needed. Route guidance updates automatically as driving conditions change, and nearby charging stations can be filtered by charging speed, connector type and availability.
