Mazda BT-50 GT Goes Off-Grid With 4WD 24/7
It’s here! Episode 1 of 4WD 24/7’s latest OFF-GRID caravanning series has dropped, and this time Mazda is driving the adventure.
The popular off-road-dedicated YouTube channel has chosen a new Mazda BT-50 Dual Cab Chassis GT as its new tow vehicle for this latest series, which tackles a mammoth 5,000-kilometre road trip across Australia, from Fraser Island on the eastern coast to Dirk Hartog Island on the other side of the continent.
Starring alongside the BT-50 are Australian outback travel adventurers Bianka and Jordan, who pilot Mazda’s tough 4x4 ute through Australia’s rough and rugged terrain as they discover and showcase the country’s near-endless natural beauty.
This latest long-distance Australian adventure is OFF-GRID’s most ambitious to-date. Show host Graham Cahill drives in convoy with Bianka and Jordan in what they describe as “Australia’s biggest game of follow the leader.” Starting from the pearl-white sands of K’gari, the trio trek up across Australia’s rugged top end and head west before turning left towards the far coastal edge of Western Australia and the nation’s western-most point.

This vast trip is the first time the Mazda BT-50 has featured on OFF-GRID, one of Australia’s most popular 4x4 online driving shows. The Concrete Grey Mica BT-50 GT has been kitted with an armoury of accessories to make life on the road comfortable and simple for this challenging but memorable journey.
From walking amongst millions of tiny crab balls on Turtle Street Beach to reaching the furthest views of the Indian Ocean on the other side of Australia, strap in for a 4WD traveller’s treat.
Subscribe to 4WD 24/7 on YouTube and be the first to catch every episode as Bianka and Jordan give it heaps in the new BT-50.
