Pricing and Specifications confirmed as Mazda Welcomes First Major Update to CX-60 Range

Mazda is refining its pivotal all-hybrid Mazda CX-60 SUV with a comprehensive suite of updates arriving in May.

The 2025 evolution introduces abundant levels of equipment, technical revisions and an incredible value proposition across the board.

Two model grades join the line-up, with the new entry-level Pure introducing a starting price of $50,240 MLP, while Touring sits between Evolve and GT and adds a raft of equipment from $58,240 MLP. An exceptionally compelling introductory pricing offer of $53,990 driveaway* will also apply to CX-60 G40e Pure models from launch.

Consistent with the rest of the range, both models can be ordered in conjunction with any of the CX-60’s three all-hybrid powertrains – the G40e inline-six turbocharged petrol 48V MHEV, D50e inline-six turbocharged diesel 48V MHEV or the P50e 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid.

These potent and efficient engines are unchanged in specification, delivering fuel consumption as low as 5.0L/100km for the diesel, 7.4L/100km for the petrol, and 2.1L/100km for the PHEV in conjunction with a possible 76km electric-only range.

In addition, Mazda’s commitment to Jinba Ittai is further honed through a series of revisions that include rear suspension set-up changes to enhance comfort and stability, an example being softer rear spring and firmer shock absorber settings that are aligned with recalibrated stability systems to improve overall handling and comfort balance.

The Skyactiv-Drive eight-speed automatic transmission has also been revised for 2025, with clutch control improvements now resulting in even smoother and more responsive combustion-engine-to-electric motor transitions and a wider gear range for the best balance of enjoyable driving dynamics and environmental performance.

Elsewhere, a host of technological and safety upgrades have been applied to the broader CX-60 range, including the fitment of Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Cruising and Traffic Support (CTS) and the 360° View Monitor with See-Through View fitted to the Evolve, Touring and GT model grades as standard.

Evolve and Touring models also now benefit from Driver Monitoring that was previously standard on GT and Azami, while Adaptive LED headlights join the CX-60 GT equipment list.

The vibrant 12.3-inch full-colour widescreen multi-information meter display is now fitted to the G40e CX-60 Evolve and D50e CX-60 Evolve. It is also fitted to the new Touring model grade of these two variants.

The elegant and timeless KODO design of the CX-60 is unchanged, however customers now have the option to specify the striking Zircon Sand metallic paint hue as an option, bringing the number of available colour choices to eight. These include three of Mazda’s high-quality Takuminuri paint finishes: Rhodium White Metallic, Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Grey Metallic. Alternatively, Deep Crystal Blue Mica, Jet Black Mica, Platinum Quartz Metallic and Sonic Silver Metallic round out the paint palette.

Commenting on the introduction of the 2025 Mazda CX-60, Vinesh Bhindi, Managing Director of Mazda Australia, said: “Our new CX-60 Pure opens up the option for even more customers to enjoy the power, performance and poise that the rear-biased chassis and dynamic engine range brings at an extremely compelling price point, while the entire CX-60 range now benefits from the very latest and greatest in Mazda technology, comfort and safety. This wholesale evolution of the CX-60 is much, much more than skin-deep, and is another shining example of the commitment to continuous improvement that Mazda is famed for.”

The new Mazda CX-60 is on sale in Mazda dealerships across Australia, with first customer deliveries beginning from next month. Five generously equipped model grades are available: Pure, Evolve, Touring, GT and Azami.
